Man Arrested After Causing Disturbance with Toy Gun at Fengyuan Hospital

Taichung police received reports on the afternoon of the 24th that a man was causing a disturbance at the emergency room of Fengyuan Hospital. Upon arrival, police found that a man had used a toy gun and splashed water before driving away. Police immediately launched an interception and quickly apprehended the suspect in Fengyuan District. The motive is currently under investigation. Social media posts had circulated rumors of knives, guns, and gasoline, causing public concern. Fengyuan Hospital stated that the man had shouted and splashed an unknown liquid, prompting the hospital to call the police and secure the area. The hospital has since resumed normal operations. The hospital emphasized that all medical staff, patients, and their families are safe and that they will continue to cooperate with the investigation while strengthening security measures.
