Kuomintang (KMT) Chair Cheng Li-wun is scheduled to depart for the United States on June 1 for a two-week visit, during which she will tour major cities on the East and West coasts. The main theme of the visit is expected to be the "normalization of peace in the Taiwan Strait." Cheng noted today that from the talks between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing, it is clear that no one wants war and everyone wants peace. Cheng's visit is being coordinated by KMT's US representative Qin Rixin and others, with plans for International Department Director Dong Jiayu and Overseas Department Director Wu Liangyi to accompany her.
