Amidst the gathering war clouds in the Middle East, a large number of Western Muslims are still traveling to Saudi Arabia this year to participate in the Hajj pilgrimage. US President Donald Trump stated after phone calls with Middle Eastern leaders that an agreement has been largely reached, with details currently under discussion, and an announcement is expected soon. Even though the US government issued a travel advisory, many Western Muslims are heading to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj starting on the 25th. Fadel, a 49-year-old American pilgrim, told AFP that he never doubted he would attend, stating, 'Even if the war is ongoing, I will not cancel my trip.' While both sides indicated a deal might be reached soon, concerns remain. Trump reported 'very good' phone calls with leaders from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, and Pakistan's Army Chief, Asim Munir.
