Central News Agency (Taipei, 25th) The Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) All-Star Game will be held on July 18 and 19 at the Taipei Dome. Voting will begin at 12:00 PM tomorrow. At today's press conference, Commissioner Tsai Chi-chang stated his goal to "maintain a score of 100" for this year's event.
This marks the third consecutive year the CPBL All-Star Game will be held at the Taipei Dome. Commissioner Tsai noted that last year's event set a record with a total of 80,000 fans over two days. Since the Taipei Dome's capacity is capped at 40,000 per game, he joked that unless the operator, Farglory, adds more seats, he hopes to maintain the current success, saying, "We've already scored 100, so we just need to keep it up."
The teams for this year's game will be 'TEAM STAR,' determined by fan voting, and 'TEAM TAIWAN,' which serves as the core for the Asia Professional Baseball Championship held at the Tokyo Dome at the end of the year. TEAM TAIWAN will include a significant number of promising young prospects, giving fans a chance to see the talent of the next generation.
Voting will officially begin at 12:00 PM tomorrow on the 'LINE TODAY CPBL All-Star Game' page. Users can log in with their personal LINE accounts and vote up to four times per day. This year, the weighting for communication and magazine voting has been adjusted, with communication votes weighted 10x and magazine votes 20x. Communication voting starts tomorrow at noon via phone or SMS. Both online and communication voting will close on June 15 at 11:59 PM.
Magazine ballots are included in the June issue (No. 531) of Professional Baseball Magazine. Fans can fill them out and mail them to the league (no stamp required). The postmark deadline is June 15.
The combined results from these three channels account for 60% of the total, while the remaining 40% is determined by professional voting from coaches, players, and media. The top two players in each defensive position will be selected for TEAM STAR.
The Home Run Derby will be decided entirely by online voting. Candidates include the top 10 home run hitters from 2025 and 2026 (up to May 17). The top 8 players in total votes will qualify for the derby. Voting closes on June 15 at 11:59 PM.
