The popular high-dividend ETF 'Yuanta Taiwan Value High Dividend' (00940) announced on the 25th that it expects to distribute 0.05 NTD per unit. This is an increase from the 0.045 NTD dividend in April, marking a 20-month high and returning to the levels seen when it first listed in 2024. Based on today's closing price of 11.73 NTD, the annualized yield is 5.11%. The 00940 adopts a monthly dividend policy, with an ex-dividend date of June 9 and a payment date of July 1. The 00940 was listed on April 1, 2024, and had its first ex-dividend in July of the same year, distributing 0.05 NTD per unit. As the high-dividend theme heated up, the share prices of many constituent stocks rose, causing yields to fall and subsequently reducing the 00940's dividend. Today's announcement shows the dividend has returned to its initial high level. The 'Taiwan Value High Dividend Index' tracked by 00940 recently announced a rebalancing, removing 10 stocks including Kinpo, Compal, Quanta, Merry, Evergreen, Getac, Quanta Storage, Powertech, Sigurd, and Arcadyan. It added 10 new stocks: Inventec, Sunon, KGI Financial, Taishin Financial, Taiwan Mobile, MiTAC, ASMedia, United Integrated Services, Fastech, and E Ink.
