Central News Agency, Taipei, May 25. The Fubon Guardians of the CPBL announced roster changes today, registering last year's first-round draft pick, catcher Chang Yu-hao, to the first team. The Guardians will visit the Taipei Dome tomorrow to face the Wei Chuan Dragons, with Japanese pitcher Yudai Abe scheduled to start. Although there are no CPBL games today, the Guardians moved catcher Feng Wei to the second team to make room for Chang. Chang, a highly anticipated prospect, has been training with the first team this season. Manager Mitsutaka Goto previously noted that Chang's presence was intended for him to acclimate to the first-team environment. Chang's last second-team appearance was on the 22nd against the Rakuten Monkeys. He has played 13 games in the second team this season, batting .440 with 11 hits and one home run in 25 at-bats. Tomorrow's starter, Yudai Abe, has recorded two quality starts in his two first-team appearances, pitching 13.1 innings with only one earned run, maintaining a 0.68 ERA. This will be his first time facing the Dragons. The Dragons are currently on an eight-game winning streak and will aim to tie their franchise record of nine consecutive wins tomorrow, starting John Gant, who holds a 2-1 record with a 1.49 ERA.
