The Taipei Cultural Heritage Review Committee reviewed the cultural asset value of 'Sifang Hospital' in Dadaocheng today, a building directly linked to the 228 Incident. The founder, Dr. Shih Chiang-nan, was a renowned physician whose fame was second only to Tu Tsung-ming before he was taken away by soldiers and never seen again. His daughter attended the meeting to advocate for the designation, which was ultimately approved. Sifang Hospital was one of the first chain hospitals in Taiwan and remains an important witness to the development of modern medicine in the country.
