13 Taiwan Counties Issue Heat Warnings; Tainan and Pingtung Brace for 38°C+

The Central Weather Administration issued heat information on the 25th, noting hot and sultry weather across the region. Taitung County is warned of potential foehn winds. Tainan City is under a red alert, with a chance of continuous extreme heat of 38°C, while Pingtung County is under an orange alert for similar conditions. Keelung, Taipei, New Taipei, Changhua, Yunlin, Chiayi City, and Kaohsiung are under orange alerts for potential 36°C heat. Taoyuan, Chiayi County, Hualien, and Taitung are under yellow alerts. Expert Wu Der-rong noted that until the 28th, Taiwan will remain in a warm air mass, with daytime temperatures feeling like mid-summer. A frontal system is expected to bring rain and cooling on the 29th and 30th.
