Transmission component giant Hiwin announced today via press release that its Italian subsidiary has officially opened its new headquarters in Agrate Brianza. Hiwin Chairman Cho Wen-heng stated that Hiwin Italy is not just an operational base, but an important hub connecting Europe and the global market. Hiwin explained that the Italian subsidiary was established in 2013 and has become a key player in the field of linear transmission and industrial automation. It employs 160 people and serves Italy's major manufacturing industries, including machine tools, packaging, automation equipment, and semiconductors. Hiwin stated that the new Italian campus covers a total area of 17,000 square meters. After a comprehensive renovation, it integrates expanded logistics areas and modern office spaces, as well as multi-functional areas designed for education and training, application demonstrations, and customer reception. The renovation also incorporates measures such as solar power equipment, smart lighting and air purification systems, organic coatings, and green design. From May 14 to 16, the Italian subsidiary opened the new campus to local government agencies, customers, partners, distributors, schools, media, suppliers, and employees. Guests including Representative to Italy Tsai Yun-chung, Hiwin Chairman Cho Wen-heng, Hiwin Italy General Manager Yang Chuang-pao, and Agrate Brianza Mayor Simone Sironi attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
