Chinese Coast Guard Ships Enter Kinmen Waters; Taiwan Coast Guard Monitors

According to the Central News Agency, four Chinese coast guard ships entered restricted waters near Kinmen on the afternoon of the 26th. Taiwan's Coast Guard Administration (CGA) deployed patrol boats to monitor the vessels and document the entire event. The CGA strongly condemned China for spreading false claims regarding jurisdiction over Kinmen waters and engaging in irrational harassment. According to the Kinmen-Matsu-Penghu Branch, the ships '14606,' '14530,' '14609,' and '14531' approached the restricted waters around 2:00 PM, prompting an immediate response. At 2:53 PM, the ships entered the restricted waters in formation, but CGA patrol boats shadowed them one-on-one and issued warnings in both Chinese and English. The ships exited the restricted waters at 5:09 PM. The CGA emphasized its determination to defend sovereignty and maintain peace, stating that it will remain on the front lines to protect the nation's maritime territory.
