Wei Chuan Dragons' Liu Chun-wei hit a game-tying two-run home run in the bottom of the 9th against the Fubon Guardians today. Both of his home runs this season have been game-tying shots. He also reached 100 career hits in the CPBL and was named the game's MVP. Once called a "crybaby" by his coach, he showed his ability to focus in adversity. Manager Yeh Chun-chang admitted after the game that he considered a pinch hitter because Liu's previous at-bats weren't great, but he chose to trust him. Liu said, "The coach didn't send a pinch hitter, which means he believed in me, and I had to believe in myself." Regarding the "crybaby" label, Liu explained that he faced many setbacks when he first turned pro, making him emotional, but he doesn't cry easily anymore.
