Central News Agency, Taipei, May 26. The Ministry of National Defense announced today that the 2026 summer combat camps will be held from July 6 to August 27. This year, 17 camps will offer a total of 1,310 spots. In addition to popular programs such as aviation, iron guard, and parachute training, the camps will include live-fire shooting and combat casualty care training. For the first time, 'drone operation' and 'live-fire simulation engagement system' courses have been added to attract students to join the military. Major General Wang Yi-hung of the Political Warfare Bureau stated that the camps are organized by the Army, Air Force, Navy, Military Police, National Defense University, National Defense Medical Center, and Chung Cheng Armed Forces Preparatory School. The curriculum is designed to align with the goal of building societal defense resilience. Through hands-on training and equipment experience, the ministry hopes to deepen the consensus on national defense and encourage students to join the military. Registration is online on a first-come, first-served basis, starting at 6:00 PM today and closing at 12:00 PM on June 15. The list of admitted participants will be announced on June 16.
