The woman was taken into custody by police after getting off at Tongluo Station in Miaoli County. The Railway Police Bureau stated that the woman claimed she was in a 'bad mood,' and the case is being investigated under the charge of property damage. A netizen posted on Threads that the conductor reported a passenger using a hammer to strike a window in the 6th car, causing damage. The train was delayed by 10 minutes. The post also included a photo of the window cracked in a spiderweb pattern. The Railway Police Bureau's Taichung Branch stated that after 6 PM, when the train stopped at Sanyi Station, a female passenger took an emergency hammer and destroyed the window glass. After the incident, the woman got off at Tongluo Station and was taken to the Miaoli Police Station. Preliminary investigations show that the woman, surnamed Chen (approx. 23), claimed she was in a bad mood and used the emergency hammer to break the glass.
