New Taipei Increases Neighborhood Head Support Fees; Su Tsao-hui Campaign Acknowledges Policy Adoption

The campaign office for New Taipei mayoral candidate Su Tsao-hui responded to Mayor Hou Yu-ih's announcement to increase neighborhood head support fees to NT$2,500 by stating that the city government is adopting Su's policy proposals. Meanwhile, Lee Ssu-chuan addressed the controversy over his reported NT$6 million annual income, clarifying that it represents the total income of his entire family, not his individual earnings. During a city council session, Mayor Hou stated that considering the hard work of neighborhood heads and inflation, activity subsidies and work fees would be increased. Su's spokesperson expressed gratitude for the implementation of the policy. Separately, the TPP questioned the investment of the National Development Fund into a company where Su's sister serves as COO, prompting Su to defend her sister's professional achievements and criticize the opposition's smear tactics.
