Kaohsiung Mayoral Candidate Lai Jui-lung Visits Japan to Strengthen International Ties

According to the Central News Agency, DPP Kaohsiung mayoral candidate Lai Jui-lung embarked on a two-day visit to Japan starting on the 25th. Lai stated that he aims to open a new era of prosperity by connecting Kaohsiung to the world. Accompanied by legislators Chiu Chih-wei, Hsu Chih-chieh, and Kuo Kuo-wen, Lai met with key figures including Furuya Keiji, chairman of the Japan-ROC Diet Members' Consultative Council, and LDP's Hagiuda Koichi. On the second day, he visited Kumamoto Prefecture, meeting with Governor Kimura Takashi and representatives from the semiconductor industry. Lai declared that the trip successfully achieved the goals of democratic prosperity, economic cooperation, and technological advancement, and he plans to lead Kaohsiung toward a future of international growth.
