According to the Central News Agency, Mackay Memorial Hospital has been targeted by hackers again, with concerns over potential medical data leakage. The hospital stated today that the incident appears to be related to a previous case. They have reinforced cybersecurity and auditing protocols, noting that no abnormal network traffic has been detected. In addition to reporting the incident to prosecutors, the hospital urged the public not to buy or download personal information online to avoid legal consequences. Last February, the hospital suffered a ransomware attack that paralyzed its outpatient systems. Multiple media outlets reported today that the hacker group 'The BlackH4t MD-Ghost' targeted all five Mackay hospital branches, claiming to have obtained 1.2TB of medical data from 2025 to 2026. The hospital emphasized that it is cooperating with investigations and urged the public to be vigilant against online fraud.
