The Ma Ying-jeou Foundation continues to face turmoil. Lee De-wei, a spokesperson for the foundation's investigation team, released an SMS allegedly sent by Ma Yi-nan to former National Security Council Secretary-General King Pu-tsung. King responded by stating he never received any messages from Ma Yi-nan. King accused Lee of spreading false information without verification, damaging his reputation, and stated he would take legal action to defend his innocence. Lee had claimed in a radio interview that if King did not stop harming Ma Ying-jeou, he would petition the court for a guardianship declaration for Ma. King emphasized that after checking his phone records, he had no communication with Ma Yi-nan.
