Kinmen's Zhongzheng Elementary Drum Troupe to Perform in Czech Republic

According to the Central News Agency, the Zhongzheng Elementary School drum troupe from Kinmen County will perform at the Embassy Festival in the Czech Republic in early June. Principal Chen Wei-hsin stated that the trip includes exchanges with local elementary schools to experience different educational environments, aiming to broaden the students' international horizons. Kinmen County Deputy Magistrate Li Wen-liang encouraged the team members to enjoy the stage and represent their school, county, and country while making new friends. The drum troupe is a rare traditional performance group that preserves ancient sounds lost in mainland Taiwan. The troupe has won numerous top awards in national folk sports competitions and is a signature program of the school. The delegation will perform at the Taipei Guest House on June 2nd before heading to the Czech Republic, where they will perform the Czech song 'Going Home' at the Embassy Festival on June 6th.
