To prevent Taiwan's free trade zones from being used as channels for 'origin laundering,' the Customs Administration of the Ministry of Finance announced that it has been offering whistleblower rewards since last September, with a maximum of NT$4.8 million per case. The Customs Administration has implemented a 'three-strict' policy: strict prevention, strict inspection, and strict punishment. As of May 17, 354 cases of suspicious transshipment have been investigated. The administration urges the public to report illegal activities to help maintain fair trade practices.
