Kaohsiung Police Arrest Drug Dealer in Undercover Operation After Cross-County Chase

CNA, Kaohsiung, May 26. Kaohsiung Police Bureau's Renwu Precinct officers posed as buyers today to meet a drug dealer surnamed Su. When attempting to stop Su's vehicle, he rammed the police car and fled, hitting seven motorcycles and one car parked on the roadside. No injuries were reported. Police followed Su onto National Highway 1, pursuing him for about 45 kilometers over 40 minutes. At around 11:00 AM, they found Su in Tainan City's East District after he abandoned his car and fled into bushes. Police arrested Su on the spot for violations of the Narcotics Hazard Prevention Act, obstruction of official duties, and property damage. They seized 207 bags of drug-laced coffee, 20 etomidate vape cartridges, and 14 bags of ketamine from his vehicle. Su was transferred to the prosecutor's office after questioning.
