Three individuals, including Liu Shih-chun, a staff member for KMT Legislator Lo Ming-tsai, and Wu Chun-mei, a former DPP branch head, were sentenced by the Taipei District Court on the 26th for forging recall petitions against DPP New Taipei City Councilor Chen Nai-yu. All three received three-year suspended sentences. The court ordered them to undergo probation, pay fines ranging from 150,000 to 300,000 NTD to the public treasury, and perform community service. The DPP criticized the act as a violation of democratic processes and called for an apology.
