Background

In recent years, there has been a strong push in education for 'learning that nurtures children's initiative.' However, many teachers struggle daily with how to interact with students—wanting them to become independent yet instinctively stepping in, or trying to prevent failure by intervening too early.

Through the provision of 'SchoolTact,' CodeTact has supported practices that lead to active, dialogic, and deep learning. To further expand this impact, we continue to host a seminar series led by Ryo Shirasugi, a former public school teacher, serving as a bridge to address real challenges faced by educators and collaboratively explore solutions.

This time, we welcome Takatoshi Akiyama, author of 'Coaching That Nurtures Children,' combining his practical knowledge of coaching with Mr. Shirasugi’s insights from educational psychology to co-develop actionable approaches that participants can apply in their classrooms starting tomorrow.

This seminar is recommended for:

- Teachers and educators struggling with how to interact with children and wanting to improve - Those who wish for children to act more independently - Educators seeking concrete verbal strategies when problems or conflicts arise - Teachers aiming to implement student-centered lessons
