History of 株式会社COFO

(1) Established in 2016 in Sammu City, Chiba Prefecture The company's predecessor, FOS Co., Ltd. (renamed 株式会社COFO in April 2024), was founded by two current directors in Sammu City, Chiba. The development of the COFO chair began when the head of development, who was working at a low kotatsu table, suffered back pain, leading to the creation of ergonomic products with product designers from a relaxation brand background.

(2) Launch of 'COFO' Brand in 2019 The first COFO product was not a chair or a desk, but a neck massager. It gained significant attention on Makuake in 2020, recording the highest number of pre-orders in the category's history. Subsequently, the COFO Chair series was released in 2022, followed by the COFO Desk series in 2023, which remain beloved by fans in 2026.

(3) Corporate Name Change to 株式会社COFO in April 2024 As the 'COFO' brand grew, the company changed its name to match the brand name.
