(1)Over 90% of university students feel 'anxious' about their future

(2)The most common reason for anxiety is 'employment and career,' accounting for over half

【Background of the Survey】

Amidst the continued early start of job hunting activities and the turbulent social situation, the environment surrounding students' career formation is undergoing significant changes. We surveyed third-year university students, many of whom participate in internships and begin thinking about future employment, to understand their values regarding the future. We also investigated what causes students' anxieties about the future, organizing the reality of university students' future anxieties and the underlying factors.

【Summary】

In this survey, over 90% of university students responded that they 'feel anxious' about their future, indicating that many students harbor anxieties about what lies ahead. The most common reason for anxiety was 'employment and career,' accounting for over half of the respondents. This surpassed items such as 'money and living' and 'future of society,' clearly showing that university students' future anxieties are strongly linked to their own employment and career formation.
