Kotobukiya Co., Ltd. (HQ: Tachikawa, Tokyo; President: Kazuyuki Shimizu) announced that as of June 2026, cumulative shipments of its proprietary bishoujo plastic model series have exceeded 9.8 million units.
We will continue to strive for further innovation and focus on developing Kotobukiya plastic model series that exceed expectations so that they may be loved by customers around the world.
The breakdown by series is as follows:
[Frame Arms Girl] Over 3.2 million cumulative units!
◆Frame Arms Girl Launched in May 2015. This is a spin-off series that anthropomorphizes robots from our original "Frame Arms" robot content into "bishoujo" (beautiful girls). Thanks to the 3mm diameter holes provided on various parts—a feature of Frame Arms—and PVC wrists, it is possible to use a vast array of M.S.G Weapon Unit series items, as well as weapons and exterior parts from the Frame Arms series.
[Megami Device] Over 4.5 million cumulative units!
◆Megami Device Launched in December 2016. This is a plastic model series designed as a "near-future battle hobby" where 14cm tall autonomous figure robots exist, which you can build, customize, and battle just like enjoying a standard model kit.
Built around the "Mashinika" body base, newly designed by Masaki Apsy—a leading expert in articulated figures—the series features characters and mechanics designed by various artists.
[Sousai Shojo Teien] Over 1.4 million cumulative units!
◆Sousai Shojo Teien Launched in January 2021. With the catchphrase "We are canvases; we can become anything," this is a girl plastic model series themed around "creating" and "coloring," where users can coordinate characters to their liking. Character design is by illustrator En Morikura, who is multi-talented across various fields. The kits come with multiple hair styles and accessory parts, allowing users to enjoy changes by swapping parts, and separate parts are also available to expand the range of coordination.
[Arcanadea] Over 700,000 cumulative units!
◆Arcanadea Launched in December 2021. A plastic model series themed around "SF x Fantasy" which has been confirmed for a TV anime adaptation. We welcomed popular illustrator necömi as the main character designer, bringing their beautiful illustrations to 3D form just as imagined. The series is expanding beyond the framework of plastic models, with initiatives such as SNS serializations of the voice comic "Yuru-Canadea" and the release of ASMR works.
