"Think Essential Project" Launched: Preventive Healthcare Wellness Announces First Collaboration with Artist Etsu Egami

Wellness Inc. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, CEO & Physician Kotaro Nakata, hereinafter "the Company"), which provides the strategic preventive healthcare service "Wellness Membership" through personal doctors, announced on July 6th the launch of the "Think Essential Project." This project aims to honor individuals who think and act essentially about matters and disseminate their philosophies to society.

What is the Think Essential Project? And Why Now?

The Think Essential Project is a project that honors individuals who think and act essentially about matters and disseminates their philosophies to society.

In an era where AI substitutes judgment and information overflows, many people are losing the time to re-examine "what is the purpose of living," making it difficult to see true richness. There was a time when dedicating one's life to the immediate task was considered a virtue. However, many people only realized what was truly important at the end of their lives, leaving them with regrets.

Yet, there are those who continue to design their entire lives, adhering to their own philosophies and not letting go of what is important. In this turbulent era, it is people who continuously discern the essence of things who shape the times.

We will build the foundation that allows them to stand firm.

First Collaboration: Artist Etsu Egami

To mark the launch of this project, we are announcing our first collaboration with internationally active artist Etsu Egami.

Etsu Egami is an artist who has continuously depicted portraits of individuals who have brought innovation to the realms of thought and expression. She has consistently pursued capturing the essence and philosophy of a person on canvas.

For this project, Etsu Egami created the original artwork for the project's logo. This marks her first endeavor in designing a corporate logo. The rainbow-colored artwork, imbued with the philosophy that "all colors shine beautifully," embodies the diversity and potential of individuals who choose their essence, symbolizing the philosophy of this project.

Exhibition Venue: Wellness Dr.'s Office (Address not disclosed)

Admission Method: Invitation only. For Wellness Membership members, those with a designated invitation, and their companions.

What I have painted is what lies within a person, regardless of their status or title. I have always wanted to express people's essence through my art. The question posed by the Think Essential Project is the same as what I have pursued. All colors shine beautifully. This philosophy is embedded in the rainbow-colored logo. I am truly delighted to be involved in this project.

Kotaro Nakata's Comment

The era of being driven by busyness and running without questioning the meaning of life is reaching its limit. To "live essentially" means to be fully engaged in one's work while directly confronting the richness and sustainability of one's own life. This collaboration with Etsu Egami is the first step in making that philosophy visible. Individuals who do not give up on their work or their lives create the era. Through this project, we will create a society where everyone can live their lives without regret.

Artist, Visiting Professor at Kyorin University School of Medicine

Born in 1994 in Chiba Prefecture. A contemporary artist active internationally, based in Japan, the United States, Switzerland, and China. In 2021, she was selected as the youngest artist for "Forbes Asia: Forbes 30 Under 30." She has received high international acclaim, including exhibiting at the VOCA Exhibition, having her works collected by Dior, and holding solo exhibitions both domestically and internationally.

CEO & Physician, Wellness Inc.

Born in 1991. After graduating from the School of Medicine at Tokyo Medical and Dental University and working in emergency comprehensive care, he founded Wellness Inc. in June 2018. The company provides the preventive healthcare service "Wellness Membership," with over 1100 members, primarily executives. His book is "Living Vibrantly in the 100-Year Life Era: Strategic Health Methods for Business Leaders Taught by a Doctor."
