Mizuno will release the MORELIA NEO V JAPAN and MORELIA NEO V β JAPAN on June 11 at authorized retailers and online. The 5th-generation models deliver reduced stud pressure, softer foot feel, and improved hold alongside the series' hallmark lightweight design. Brand ambassadors Hidemasa Morita (Sporting CP) and Reo Hatate (Celtic FC) are set to wear them. The MORELIA NEO series debuted in 2011 as a tech-forward extension of the original 1985 MORELIA line and has held the No.1 series share at Japan's National High School Soccer Championship for eight consecutive tournaments since the 97th edition (2018). Key upgrades include a redesigned shank structure in the outsole to reduce underfoot pressure, continued use of the Engineered Fit Last NEO, and a switch to Japanese-made sponge and high-density micro-taffeta in the forefoot upper. The midfoot retains BareFoot Leather NEO microfiber synthetic leather. The β JAPAN variant replaces midfoot mesh with BareFoot Knit NEO for a wrap-around knit fit. Replaceable-stud MIX models and an AG model for artificial turf launch simultaneously. Mizuno targets 110,000 pairs globally within the first year.
