System Integrator Releases New Version of Database Development Tool "SI Object Browser for Postgres"

The latest version supports "PostgreSQL 18," the open-source relational database management system; "EDB Postgres Advanced Server 18" provided by EDB, Inc.; and "Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL 18" and "Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL 17" from Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Starting on the same day, Assist Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tatsuo Otsuka), the sales distributor for this product, will begin sales of the latest version.

About EDB Postgres Advanced Server

EDB Postgres Advanced Server is a database that uses PostgreSQL, an open-source relational database management system (RDBMS), as its engine and implements functions required for enterprise systems. It consolidates essential features such as "performance," "availability," "security," and "operational management" to meet enterprise needs.

The latest version 18 further enhances performance through support for asynchronous I/O (AIO) and optimizer improvements. Additionally, maintainability, reliability, and security are broadly strengthened with enhancements to the VACUUM function, default enablement of data checksums, and deprecation of MD5 passwords.
