Creek & River Co., Ltd. (C&R) will host a free online seminar titled 'Introduction to Game Branding – Creating Consistent, Effective Design from Concept to Launch' on Wednesday, June 24, aimed at game creators, focusing on the concept of branding in game development.
※ The seminar will be conducted in English, but simultaneous interpretation into Japanese will be available. (Participants can choose between the original English or interpreted Japanese audio channel.)
Branding is often associated with logos, key visuals, and store pages. However, this seminar goes beyond that, focusing on branding as a design element integral to the entire development process—such as 'the expectations players have toward the game,' 'the unique identity of the product,' and 'the alignment between gameplay experience and visual design.' We will also introduce practical perspectives applicable to real-world development, including user-centric design thinking and how to create consistency across game design, UX, visuals, and marketing.
The speaker is Matthew Moss, an artist and designer. We welcome participation from anyone interested in defining their game's unique identity, addressing mismatches between game content and visual presentation, or articulating and explaining why a visual should be designed a certain way.
<Seminar Content> - Understand the overall framework and fundamental concepts of game branding - Make consistent design decisions tailored to your target audience - Develop the ability to prevent misalignment between game content and its visual presentation - Learn how to apply branding to store assets and promotional materials for launch - Gain practical insights for continuously leveraging branding throughout development
<Who Should Attend> - Those struggling to define their game's unique identity - Those who feel a disconnect between game content and its visuals or presentation - Those who want to articulate and explain why visuals should be designed a certain way - Those aiming to effectively communicate their game's appeal through store pages and trailers - Those seeking consistent direction between development and marketing teams - Those who want to understand the fundamentals of 'branding thinking' in game creation from the ground up
