COYOTE, a 3DCG production team belonging to the game division of "C&R Creative Studios," Japan's largest creative development studio operated by CREEK & RIVER CO., LTD. (C&R), will hold an offline talk event for creators involved in game development and 3DCG production on July 9 (Thu). The event, titled "Behind the Scenes of Motion Production at RGG Studio SEGA Motion Talk Session #MotionNight," will take place on the 12th floor of C&R Creative Studios Oinarimon.
SEGA's game development team, "RGG Studio," has released high-quality titles, most notably the "Yakuza" series. At this event, four creators from "RGG Studio" will take the stage to share their real-life experiences, including their commitment to "captivating direction," their development system for maintaining high quality, and the skills and training required in the field, interspersed with questions from participants. A networking reception will also be held in the latter half of the event, allowing attendees to interact directly with the speakers and each other. This event can also be utilized as a venue for building industry networks and exchanging information. "RGG Studio" Chief Animation Director Takayuki Sorimachi Joined SEGA as a part-time employee in 2000. Started his career as an animator at SEGA. Primarily handled Kazuma Kiryu's battle motions for the "Yakuza" series. Currently serves as Animation Director for all "RGG Studio" titles, overseeing quality control and organizational management.
"RGG Studio" Animation Team Leader Shinsuke Kajiki Joined SEGA as a new graduate in 2008. Has been involved in the development of the "Yakuza" series as an animator ever since. While managing and directing as a team leader, he also handles motion production and layout tasks.
"RGG Studio" Animator Keita Onishi Joined SEGA as a mid-career hire in 2023. Responsible for action cutscene production for the "Yakuza" series. Served as lead for these elements in the latest title. In parallel with production, he is also involved in training junior staff.
"RGG Studio" Animator Yuuka Mukai Joined SEGA as a new graduate in 2024. Involved in the "Yakuza" series as an animator. Works on a wide range of genres, including drama part layout and adventure motion production, and also performs motion capture actor duties.
