Genki Accelerates Manufacturing DX with Game Technology! Ebara's 'EBARA-D3™' Wins Two DX Awards

Genki Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nakano-ku, Tokyo; President: Mizuki Horikoshi; hereinafter 'Genki'), a group company of Daikoku Denki Co., Ltd., is providing technical cooperation for 'EBARA-D3™,' a manufacturing DX project promoted by Ebara Corporation (Headquarters: Ota-ku, Tokyo), focusing on 'datafication with people as the protagonist' using game development technology. This project has recently won the 'Data Management Award 2026' hosted by the Japan Data Management Consortium (JDMC) and the 'DX Innovation Grand Prix 2025' awarded by the Japan Omnichannel Association. 'EBARA-D3™' is a digital foundation for manufacturing DX that comprehensively manages not only equipment and processes on the manufacturing floor but also the movements and work processes of operators. It is highly evaluated for its efforts to visualize tacit knowledge, such as the knowledge and know-how of skilled workers, and to utilize it for skill transfer and human resource development. Genki applies real-time 3D technology and simulation technology cultivated in the development of home video game software and mobile content to this project. In game development, technology that expresses and analyzes character movements and behaviors in real-time has advanced, and these technologies can also be used to understand work and visualize skills on the manufacturing floor. Through this technical cooperation, it has become possible to record and visualize operator movements and work processes as data. By accumulating and sharing skilled techniques that were previously difficult to verbalize as data, it is expected to be used for skill transfer, work improvement, and human resource development. Genki will continue to apply the real-time 3D and interactive technologies cultivated in game development to the industrial field, working to realize new DX that utilizes human skills and experience as data.
