Aoyama Gakuin University becomes the first champion. The first university team darts tournament is held.

SEGA SAMMY GROUP's DARTSLIVE Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director, President & CEO: Azuma Abe) held an inter-university darts tournament "Sports Darts Project Cup 2026 National University Darts Team Tournament" on Saturday, March 21, 2026, and Aoyama Gakuin University was crowned the first champion.

This tournament was held with the aim of providing a place where players can compete with those from other regions they rarely have the chance to interact with, as well as improving "darts" skills, which test strategy and concentration, and raising sportsmanship. This is the first time DARTSLIVE has officially sponsored an inter-university tournament.

On the day of the event, 37 universities from all over the country gathered, including national universities such as the University of Tokyo and Tsukuba University, as well as Waseda University and Keio University. A total of 39 teams with approximately 200 students competed in darts, showing the unique excitement of a team competition where students fight as a team beyond the boundaries of faculties and grades.
