DHL Express Signs Long-Term Purchase Agreement with SAF One for SAF Produced in Bahrain

DHL Express, a leading international express service provider, and SAF One, a Dubai-based developer of next-generation Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), today announced the signing of a long-term off-take agreement. This agreement adds DHL's first Middle Eastern hub to its global SAF procurement network. Under the contract, DHL Express will be supplied with 25,000 metric tons of unblended (neat) SAF annually for ten years, starting from the commencement of production in 2028. The total supply will amount to 250,000 metric tons. The fuel will be produced at SAF One's flagship plant in Bahrain and will contribute to reducing life-cycle CO₂e emissions across DHL's regional and intercontinental air network. The environmental value of the SAF produced under this agreement will be integrated into DHL Express's low-carbon transport solution, 'GoGreen Plus,' through a 'book and claim' system.
