"Dior Bamboo Pavilion," celebrating Dior's unwavering connection with Japan and its exceptional craftsmanship. A special workshop will be held by we+, who created the unique furniture pieces displayed within the pavilion. Established in 2013 by Toshiya Hayashi and Hokuto Ando, the we+ studio has shaped new values and perspectives through an experimental approach. The furniture designed by we+ for the "Dior Bamboo Pavilion" delicately conveys sublimity within ephemerality and temporality. Through a spirit of reuse and circulation, these works highlight often overlooked elements, elevating them into true works of art. Creations made from recycled materials, such as those produced using styrofoam recovered from Tokyo's fish markets and supermarkets, are reborn as iridescent blue structures, scattered throughout the various spaces of this unique boutique. The workshop will begin with an introduction to we+'s representative projects, followed by an opportunity to directly experience the exhibited works, and conclude with an elegant interlude at "Café Dior by Anne-Sophie Pic Bamboo Pavilion."
