Formed in Bristol, UK. The band consists of 5 members: Joe Talbot (vocals), Adam Devonshire (bass), Mark Bowen (guitars), Lee Kiernan (guitars), and Jon Beavis (drums).

They released their debut album 'Brutalism' in 2017. They released their second album 'Joy As An Act Of Resistance' in 2018, and their third album 'Ultra Mono' in 2020. The third album reached number one on the UK charts. In 2021, they released their 4th album 'Crawler', co-produced by Kenny Beats and guitarist Mark Bowen, which was nominated for 'Best Rock Album' and 'Best Rock Performance' at the 65th Grammy Awards.
