Daiichi Kosho Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, the Company) announces that FREE DAM LIFE, a dedicated device for the DK Elder System equipped with various content to support the maintenance and improvement of comprehensive living functions such as physical activity, oral health, and cognition, has been officially registered in the 'Welfare Equipment Information System (TAIS)' by the Techno-Aid Foundation—a public interest foundation that collects and provides information on welfare equipment—and has been selected for 'Functional Training Support' under care technology as of July 2026.

DK Elder System Dedicated Device 'FREE DAM LIFE'

TAIS, operated since 1994 under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, is an information dissemination system that databases and widely publishes specifications, functions, and performance of welfare equipment and care technologies both domestically and internationally. As of July 14, 2026, 19,694 products have been registered.

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare established the 'Key Areas for Care Technology Utilization' in June 2024, aiming to reduce burdens and improve quality in care settings through technologies such as AI and robotics. TAIS classifies and publishes equipment and devices meeting these criteria as 'Care Technology'.

TAIS serves as a fair and highly reliable information platform used by municipalities and care service providers nationwide. Additionally, many local governments use it as a reference when selecting subsidy-eligible items under the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's Care Technology Introduction Support Program*.

As a result of rigorous evaluation by the 'Committee for Reviewing Products Eligible for Introduction Support by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare,' composed of external experts from the Techno-Aid Foundation, our FREE DAM LIFE has been recognized as compliant with the 'Key Areas for Care Technology Utilization' and selected as a product under the 'Functional Training Support' category in TAIS.

This selection is expected to enhance the recognition of FREE DAM LIFE in this field and further expand its adoption. It will also make it easier for municipalities and care service providers nationwide to introduce FREE DAM LIFE by utilizing the subsidy program under the Care Technology Introduction Support Program.

The Company believes that leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency in care settings is crucial and will continue to support solutions to industry challenges such as workforce shortages and reduced workloads.

* A system that subsidizes expenses incurred by care service providers when introducing technologies such as care robots and ICT, promoting the realization of a better working environment through improved productivity.
