Daiichi Kogyo Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minami-ku, Kyoto City; President and CEO: Naomi Yamanoue) conducted the "CSR Procurement Simulation Game 'Game of Choice'" at its Kyoto headquarters, developed and supervised by the Supply Chain Committee of the Global Compact Network Japan, a nonprofit organization, aiming to enhance company-wide understanding of sustainability. Approximately 60 participants, including President and CEO Yamanoue and other executives, took part in the event.

Under its mid-term management plan "SMART 2030," the company has positioned "Sustainability" as one of its key themes and is advancing various initiatives. Achieving this goal requires raising literacy across the entire organization. Furthermore, in recent years, globalization of supply chains and increasing geopolitical risks have heightened the need for strengthened responsible procurement practices.

"Game of Choice" is a program designed to provide experiential learning on the importance of CSR procurement. Participants assume the roles of various stakeholders—such as corporate representatives, consumers, shareholders, and suppliers—and make decisions regarding challenges within the supply chain. Through this program, participants deepened their understanding of diverse values and ethical perspectives.

The company will continue practicing responsible procurement with consideration for society and the environment, aiming to earn customer trust, improve ESG evaluations, and thereby enhance corporate value.
