DMM EV ON Slashes Charging Fees for App Members Starting July 14 (Tue), Introducing New Industry-Leading Low Prices

DMM.com LLC (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Innovation Company CEO: Yu Ogata, hereinafter 'DMM'), provider of the EV charging service 'DMM EV ON', will revise (lower) charging fees for app members starting Tuesday, July 14, 2026, aiming to improve EV user convenience and reduce running costs. With the monthly base fee remaining at 0 yen, 50kW fast charging will be available at 22–27 yen/minute and 6kW standard charging at 33 yen/10 minutes (tax included). Users will automatically receive the new pricing simply by charging through the app.

Background: Eliminating Concerns Over Charging Costs, the Biggest Barrier to EV Adoption

For gasoline vehicle owners considering switching to electric vehicles (EVs), as well as drivers who already use EVs daily, rising charging fees and uncertainty about future maintenance costs (running costs) are major factors causing hesitation in purchasing or continuing to own an EV.

To alleviate these economic concerns and further promote EV adoption across Japan, DMM EV ON has decided to lower charging prices exclusively for app members. While maintaining the convenience of the existing '0 yen monthly base fee,' we are further reducing the charging rates themselves, aiming for the lowest price level in the industry.

We aim to provide an affordable, low-cost option for all EV drivers, enabling more people to experience the economic and comfortable lifestyle that EVs offer.

Detailed Charging Rates After Price Revision

Members who use charging via the official app will receive significantly lower pricing for both fast and standard charging compared to previous rates (non-member usage via browser, etc., will remain at the previous pricing. Prices listed are as of July 13, 2026.)

＜Important Notes＞

・The rate of 22 yen/minute (tax included) for 50kW fast charging in Tokyo applies only to specific eligible chargers. Charging at non-eligible fast chargers within Tokyo will be charged at the national rate of 27 yen/minute (tax included). (App members only)

・The rate of 33 yen/10 minutes (tax included) for standard charging applies only to specific eligible chargers. Charging at non-eligible standard chargers will be charged at the previous rate of 55 yen/10 minutes (tax included), even for app members.

・For standard charging, if the maximum output is automatically detected as 3kW, the charging fee will be 27.5 yen per 10 minutes (tax included), regardless of membership status.

・Details of eligible locations can be confirmed via the MAP screen within the app.

・Pricing plans may be changed in the future. Any changes will be announced in advance.

No monthly fees, commonly found in many EV charging services, are required. Since users pay only for the electricity used at low member rates, monthly maintenance costs can be kept extremely low.

Fast charging, ideal for quick top-ups during outings or work breaks, is now less than half the previous price.

This dramatically improves the cost-efficiency of travel, especially within Tokyo. Outside Tokyo, rates of 27 yen/minute (approximately half the previous price) will also be offered.
