NTT Docomo, Ltd. (hereinafter, Docomo) will begin offering the 'd-payment Shop Stamp' function (hereinafter, this function) on Friday, June 26, 2026. This function leverages 'd-payment®' to support local spending and exploration promotion. As the first initiative utilizing this function, Docomo will collaborate with Suzu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, to launch the 'Suzu City Recovery Support♪ Go to Suzu with d-payment' campaign, aimed at aiding recovery from the Reiwa 6 Noto Peninsula Earthquake and the Reiwa 6 Heavy Rainfall in Okunoto.
This function enables local governments and businesses to flexibly set target areas, participating stores, payment amounts, and stamp award conditions, allowing digital stamps to be awarded based on 'd-payment' usage.
Customers earn stamps by using 'd-payment' at designated locations or stores, accumulating stamps based on payment amount or frequency. Upon reaching a certain number, they receive a treasure box. Opening the treasure box grants d-points (limited in period and usage) based on the campaign rules—either through a lottery for selected points or awarded to all customers who meet the conditions. Customers can enjoy shopping while visiting designated stores and receiving benefits corresponding to their purchases.
Unlike the existing 'd-payment Stamp' function, which accumulates stamps based on 'd-payment' usage at eligible stores nationwide, this new function allows local governments and businesses to design campaigns with limited areas and stores for individual promotions. Additionally, this function can be used simultaneously with the existing 'd-payment Stamp,' allowing customers to receive benefits under both sets of conditions.
As the first initiative using this function, the 'Suzu City Recovery Support♪ Go to Suzu with d-payment' campaign will be launched.
Docomo signed a partnership agreement with Suzu City in November 2025 titled 'Collaboration Agreement toward Realizing a 'Connected Society' Created by Digital Technology for Creative Reconstruction.' Since then, Docomo has supported Suzu City's vision of creative reconstruction. This campaign aims to promote industrial development and regional revitalization by boosting spending and exploration within Suzu City.
