YUIMARU LIQUORS First Release "Island Banana" Now Available

Drink Yuimaru Ltd. (Central, Hong Kong), a company that plans and develops alcoholic beverages in Hong Kong, and Nanto Shuhan Co., Ltd. (Nishihara, Okinawa Prefecture) are pleased to announce the joint launch of "YUIMARU LIQUORS," a new sake brand that captures the delicious essence of Okinawa in a bottle, for release both domestically and internationally.

This project was born from Mateo S. Cherabolo, representative of Drink Yuimaru Ltd., visiting Okinawa multiple times and developing a deep affection for the islands. It was realized by a multinational team with extensive experience in Japanese liquors, spirits, and design. The brand was named "YUIMARU LIQUORS" in honor of the Okinawan spirit of peace, cooperation, and mutual benefit, which is deeply rooted in the lives of its people.

We carefully select fruits and ingredients that are indigenous to Okinawa's climate and propose modern alcoholic beverages that naturally blend with both Japanese food culture and international bar culture.

【OUR STORY】

For YUIMARU LIQUORS, operating in harmony with the islands is a key philosophy. We aim to follow the natural rhythms of the seasons, adjust production volumes according to available raw materials, and build long-term relationships with producers and breweries. Furthermore, in pursuit of universal "deliciousness," we want to contribute to reducing food loss by prioritizing the use of non-standard produce, thereby increasing the added value of harvests for producers and creating new sales channels.

In addition, the visual and brand identity of YUIMARU LIQUORS incorporates colorful and tropical imagery for the overseas market, while also conveying Okinawan traditions, agriculture, and warm, friendly hospitality.

The first product in this series, "Island Banana," is made from Ryukyu awamori, Okinawan bananas, kokuto (black sugar), and kibi sugar. It is a versatile product that can be enjoyed as a fruit liqueur or used as a cocktail ingredient, featuring a prominent fruity aroma.

For the production of this sake, we collaborated with Fumiko Ikeno, a renowned blender at Yanbaru Shuzo Co., Ltd. (Ogimi Village, Kunigami District, Okinawa Prefecture). She resonated with our idea of creating a natural taste without any additives, using "Sho," a triple-distilled awamori with a sharp flavor, as the base. After repeated test brewing, we have created an authentic domestic banana liqueur.
