Osaka Prefecture, Duskin, and Lawson Collaborate for 'OSAKA Zero Waste Project' Joint Cleaning Event in Esaka on May 29

Duskin Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Suita City, Osaka; President: Hiroki Okubo) and Lawson, Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Sadanobu Takemasu) will conduct a joint cleaning activity in the area around Esaka Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line on Friday, May 29, 2026, the eve of 'Zero Waste (Gomi Zero) Day,' in collaboration with the 'OSAKA Zero Waste Project' promoted by Osaka Prefecture.

Both Duskin and Lawson have entered into comprehensive partnership agreements with Osaka Prefecture, collaborating in areas such as 'Environment,' 'Children & Welfare,' 'Safety & Security,' and 'Public Relations for the Prefecture' to revitalize local communities and improve services for residents. Based on these agreements, both companies shared a desire to engage in community contribution activities, leading to their participation in the project since last year. This project is an initiative where communities, companies, organizations, and municipalities work together to clean the city for the purpose of local beautification and environmental protection.

Since 2006, Duskin has been continuously conducting 'Cleanup My Town,' a cleaning activity with local residents. This time, it will be held in conjunction with the project event. Furthermore, Duskin conducted the project's cleaning activities four times across the prefecture in fiscal 2025 and received a letter of appreciation from Osaka Prefecture for its continuous contribution to environmental beautification.

On the day of the joint cleaning, residents and employees of surrounding companies are expected to participate, conducting a community-wide environmental beautification activity through collaboration between the region and businesses.

*OSAKA Zero Waste Project A project aimed at realizing a clean Osaka with no garbage in streets, rivers, and the sea, triggered by the hosting of 'Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai' and the 'National Fertile Sea Creation Convention' (2026). It promotes waste reduction and momentum building throughout Osaka in collaboration with various sectors.
