New Chapter Opens! Artists Representing Hip Hop Originating Online Gather

For a long time on Niconico, the culture of users posting rap songs has been deeply rooted, developing into a genre and upload tag called "Nico Rap." The live event "World Wide Words," hosted by Rappubito, which sparked this movement, began in 2006 as an event solely for those from net rap backgrounds and has been held as a "festival of net rap." After a five-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic starting in 2020, it resumed in 2025. Now, as a new chapter, it will be held for the first time at "Niconico Chokaigi," with artists who have led net rap, such as Rappubito, RainyBlueBell, and Denpa Shōjo, performing at Makuhari Messe.
