Dynatrace, the leader in AI-driven observability, announced that DeNA has selected Dynatrace to enhance the operational monitoring and incident investigation of systems supporting its services. As part of its 'AI All-in' corporate strategy, DeNA is actively promoting AI utilization. However, applying AI to IT infrastructure operations is challenging due to the complexity of production environments. Therefore, establishing a foundation to accurately monitor and analyze system states was a critical prerequisite. DeNA's IT Infrastructure Department has been working to modernize operations for both large-scale legacy systems supporting gaming services and cloud-native systems for healthcare. Challenges included complex monitoring environments in legacy systems and fragmented methods in cloud-native ones. This led to difficulties in gaining a holistic view of system dependencies. For healthcare services, a platform capable of integrating data while meeting strict security requirements was essential. To address these issues, DeNA adopted Dynatrace. With 'OneAgent,' Dynatrace automatically discovers and visualizes components and their dependencies. The 'Grail' data lakehouse aggregates logs, metrics, and traces, while 'Davis AI' enables correlation analysis to support incident investigation. Additionally, the log masking feature was a key factor for the healthcare sector to ensure privacy compliance. Tomoki Amano of DeNA noted that the implementation has significantly reduced the time required for incident investigation, allowing engineers to focus on higher-value work.
