e-dash Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Touma Yamazaki; hereinafter "the Company") announced that it has been awarded the "FY2026 CO2 Emissions Visualization System Introduction Support Project" by Tomioka City, Gunma Prefecture (Mayor: Masahide Mobara), and will begin supporting greenhouse gas emissions visualization and reduction for five local small and medium-sized enterprises using "e-dash." This is the third consecutive year the Company has been awarded this project since FY2024.
Background of the Initiative
Tomioka City, Gunma Prefecture, aims to achieve "Zero Carbon City" by 2050, with the goal of virtually eliminating greenhouse gas emissions, and is promoting carbon neutrality initiatives.
One of the top priorities for achieving this goal is the "decarbonization of local businesses" that support the regional economy. In this city, where industries such as machinery manufacturing and food processing are thriving, it has become clear that business-related emissions account for over 60% of the city's total CO2 emissions (FY2023 estimate *), with the industrial sector accounting for 49% and the business/other sector accounting for 13%.
Against this backdrop, the city has continuously implemented the "CO2 Emissions Visualization System Introduction Support Project" since FY2024 to support the decarbonization management of local businesses, and this year (FY2026) marks the third year of the project.
Leveraging the knowledge gained from support provided over the past two years, the Company will support five local small and medium-sized enterprises this year, from calculating and visualizing greenhouse gas emissions to proposing concrete reduction actions.
Shinonome Shinkin Bank and Towa Bank, Ltd., which have strengths in supporting regional businesses, are participating as sponsors in this project. By collaborating with these two financial institutions, which are familiar with regional management challenges, and the Company, a decarbonization expert, we will provide highly effective, tailored support.

Overview of Support
The Company will provide the following support to small and medium-sized enterprises in Tomioka City participating in this project:
1. Support for calculating and visualizing greenhouse gas emissions using "e-dash"
The first step in promoting decarbonization is to accurately grasp the current situation. "e-dash" allows anyone to easily and accurately visualize monthly energy usage and emissions simply by uploading utility bills for electricity, gas, etc. We provide thorough support for operations via phone and online.
2. Proposals for "concrete actions" to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
We go beyond simply presenting numbers to proposing the next concrete steps. Based on the calculated data, we will collaboratively consider and propose optimal reduction scenarios tailored to each business's operating environment and investment plans, such as introducing energy-saving equipment, installing solar power generation, and utilizing environmental values like non-fossil certificates and carbon credits.
Participating companies can receive all of this support free of charge until the end of February 2027.
Through this project, the Company aims to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society in Tomioka City and the growth of local businesses.
