[The Problem]

Gift fruits are “difficult to carry”

Okayama Prefecture is known as a major producer of peaches and grapes. However, carrying gift fruits has always posed a significant challenge.

- Paper bags lack sufficient strength - Standard bags don't have enough gusset width, forcing boxes to be placed vertically - Placing them vertically puts pressure on the fruit, causing damage

Especially since peaches and grapes are extremely delicate, “the inability to keep the box horizontal” was a cause of quality degradation.

Furthermore, gift peaches are typically packed in what are called '1.5kg boxes,' but in reality, they often contain about 1.8kg, and stacking two boxes results in a weight of just under 4kg.

Carrying this weight in wide boxes is more burdensome than imagined, creating significant stress during long-distance travel or business meetings.

“Peaches are very delicate fruits, so I was always particularly careful when transporting them. When carrying peaches for business meetings or as souvenirs, the boxes were very unwieldy. I had to either hold them with both arms or carry them with a feeling like my hands would tear off. I tried various bags, but none of them quite fit in terms of size and stability. It was a long-standing problem for me.”

The EBIST tote is made utilizing the sewing technology of Ebisu Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of FIBCs that boast a load capacity of about 1 ton.

The material used is polyethylene, offering a 99.9% UV protection rate.

The grid-like threads running vertically and horizontally allow the pattern of the box inside to be faintly visible, combining practicality with design.
