Digitane, an AI & Programming Learning Tool for Elementary and Junior High Students, to Host the 8th 'AI & Programming Contest 2026' Starting July 7th!

Educational Design Co., Ltd., operator of the AI & programming learning tool 'Digitane' for elementary and junior high students, will launch the 'Digitane AI & Programming Contest 2026' on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. This year, the contest will be significantly upgraded with strong support from Transcosmos Inc. and cooperation from Roblox. The contest is designed for students using Digitane, which utilizes popular platforms like Minecraft and Roblox. Marking its 8th year since 2019, the theme is 'Turn Inspiration into Form! Bring Fun to the World!' The submission period runs from July 7 to August 25, 2026, with results to be announced on October 10, 2026. Winners will receive prizes such as Amazon gift cards and invitations to official Roblox events. Five new initiatives will be introduced this year: special projects with Roblox, collaboration with the 'Kani-pan no Oheya' YouTube channel, encouragement of AI usage, a two-category system (Original and Arrange), and public voting. Digitane is currently used in approximately 300 classrooms nationwide, transforming play into learning.
