Ameya Eitaro, a candy brand by Eitaro Sohonpo (founded in 1818), will release its Tanabata-limited 'Amanogawa Eitaro Candy Assortment' from June 10 to July 7, 2026. The product will be sold at Ameya Eitaro Isetan Shinjuku, Ginza Mitsukoshi, and the official online store for 993 yen (tax included).

Inspired by the Milky Way, the package features a blue ribbon and a star charm. The assortment contains 12 candies (2 pieces each of 6 flavors): red and yellow Umeboshi (traditional sweet), Kuroame (brown sugar), Matcha, Black Tea, and Vanilla Milk. These candies are crafted using traditional Aruheitou methods, cooking sugar and starch syrup at high temperatures to achieve a glossy, translucent finish.

Ameya Eitaro was launched in 2007 to present innovative candy concepts while leveraging 200 years of heritage. The parent company, Eitaro Sohonpo, based in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, is Japan's oldest candy manufacturer in the National Confectionery Industry Cooperative, managing diverse brands such as Ameya Eitaro and Tokyo Peasen.
