EVERSTEEL Selected for NEDO's SBIR Program Phase 2

EVERSTEEL Inc., a University of Tokyo startup, has been selected for Phase 2 of NEDO's 2025 'SBIR Promotion Program.' With a grant of up to 100 million yen, the company aims to develop a robust imaging system and AI models to automate the detection and quantification of impurities in scrap steel by December 2027. This technology addresses the critical need for decarbonization in the steel industry by enhancing the quality and efficiency of the electric arc furnace method, which reduces CO2 emissions by 70% compared to traditional methods.
