Double Lead: Two Talented Actors! Yui Morisako and Goki Maeda

Yui Morisako will play the role of Aiko Sasajima.

A young, talented actress who has been active since childhood and has built a solid career. She gained attention for her role as the protagonist, Maruko, in the 2006 live-action "Chibi Maruko-chan." In recent years, she has appeared in popular works such as "Ensemble" (Nippon TV) and "Yamada Tora Law Office" (NHK). I believe Aiko is a woman with great inner strength and firm convictions.

I am very happy to be able to create this work with the cast and staff who have a passionate love for drama making, including Producer Oba and Morisako-san.

Although this work begins with a grand betrayal in the first episode, I felt it was a human drama that depicts not just a simple judgment of good and evil, but how people face their past, grow, and change.

"Was that person back then truly their real self?" "Can one be truly reborn by atoning for the past and breaking free from its curse?"

I was strongly drawn to the multifaceted nature of humans, their immaturity, and their ability to rise again from it, rather than just a story of betrayal or winning and losing.

-- What are your thoughts and impressions of the protagonist, Seiichi Sasajima?

He's a truly hopeless man (laughs).

He repeatedly makes mistakes due to his weakness and obsession with his mistress, but within that, he grapples with his past and struggles to move forward, albeit clumsily.

Honestly, there are many parts of this character that I can't empathize with, and I've never had the opportunity to play such a selfish and clumsy man before. However, I want to bravely take on this challenge, with everyone's help, to portray him in a way that conveys his humanity, even his ugliness, and perhaps even his endearing qualities.

While the first half is filled with surprising truths and shocking developments, this work is also a story about "human growth" and "rebirth" that lies beyond that.

People's values can change significantly without them realizing it, due to their environment, the people around them, and their past. Nevertheless, it is possible to face one's true self and the truly important love that was overlooked. I hope you will watch until the end to see what choices they make within a relationship that has once been broken, and feel hope and courage.
