GREEN×EXPO 2027 Countdown: 300 Days to Go! Special Board Unveiled at Tokyo Station

The Japan Association for the International Horticultural Expo 2027 and East Japan Railway Company (JR East) installed a countdown board for GREEN×EXPO 2027 at Tokyo Station on May 22, 2026, marking the 300-day countdown to the expo's opening on May 23, 2026. This initiative aims to help visitors at Tokyo Station feel the approach of the expo and build momentum for its opening.

JR East will continue to utilize its transit media, such as stations, across its service area to promote the event.

1. Design The design combines the image of a venue overflowing with flowers and greenery, the cute visual of the official mascot "Tunk Tunk," and the new catchphrase, "Let's go bloom with the Earth." Additionally, a digital display in the center of the board will count down the days until the opening and screen promotional videos throughout the event period to raise awareness of GREEN×EXPO 2027.

2. Installation Period Scheduled from May 22, 2026, to September 26, 2027. *Countdown until the opening on March 19, 2027, followed by promotional videos during the event.

3. Installation Location Tokyo Station, 1F Central Passage (Inside ticket gates, near stairs for platforms 5 and 6).
